The College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) was established on August 1, 2003. The College has three departments and one research center: the Department of Electronic Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Information Engineering, and Green Energy Research Center. The College offers undergraduate degrees and graduate degrees in electronic, electrical, information, computer science, communication, and system engineering. For its long term development, the College plans to establish more research centers in the future.

Under the guidance of Ching Yun University, the College enables student to learn core technologies, construct core capabilities, and cultivate core essences. This specialized knowledge will allow these students to compete with confidence against others after graduation. The College expects to become a front runner based on its excellent academic achievement in specific areas.  Service, innovation, and resource integration are the principle values of the College; they provide the pivot mechanism for infrastructure construction that leads to the College’s excellence and outstanding performance.  Central to this excellence is resource integration between disciplines and departments, with collection and sharing of external resources. In addition, in the spirit of academic democracy, the College devotes every effort to enhance the quality of its teaching and research. This quality teaching and research is one of the important assets of the College’s culture.
